THE ZERO THEORY
Nothing
is valueless; it is first in our perception. We view items as we perceive them
to be. The number zero has been given no value in society, even the grandest of
scholars sees this oval wonder as ‘Nothingness’; but what if zero was not added
to one would we ever have ten? Or to nine, would we ever have ninety? It means
zero itself has value, although hidden, its value elevates the single to a
platform of relevance. The more we add zero, the more we add value to
whatsoever it is attached to. Like latent heat, its influence might not be
seen, but it boils and evaporates water. That influence that can change a state
from one level to another—from one form to another.
I’d
like to think of when God called out from nothing, the earth there was nothing
but that nothing had potential to birth what we see today. He did not create
the fishes as you may think; he just called it out from the water. All this
while, who knew H2O had in it capacity for fishes; what about the air?
He called forth birds from it and the soil? The same thing with plants—he obviously
saw the potential we couldn’t see and called it from what appeared to be
nothing.
God
made everything intricately and endowed with value unimaginable just like zero
but we almost cannot recognize its value. What if we changed our perception? Saw
through another eye? Saw that without zero the number line would be incomplete?
Zero has all the power one has and all the power nine has, it is just that the
world sees zero as insignificant. Teachers score us zero to show we have
nothing, but if you ask me, we have value that they don’t just know how to
find; we have a mind that has been untapped and that zero cries out to us our
very own teachers with its hollow mouth saying, “I have something in my hole,
look deep and howl, what a wonder is in this soul”
Zero
only shows what how loaded, crude, undiscovered we are. So, when next you see a
zero, think to yourself and say “there is a part of me I need to uncover” say, “I
am as powerful as zero, as untouched but still powerful. If you have nothing in
your hands today, it means there is space to have something in those hands.
Every
little action we take reflects on the big screen. Every little detail makes up
the whole frame. How would you have oceans without drops or molecules that did
not coalesce to settle? We can make change happen one ‘zero’ at a time…
But
what would the world look like with a bunch of zeros? It will be undiscovered,
archaic, dormant, and untapped. Imagine a world with a lot of dormant minds? Imagine
that the waters did not give up its fishes? Imagine Einstein did not give up
the equation E=MC2, what if Newton remained pristine and as lowly as
he was made—never pushed, never thought—just the same way he was born looking
at all the potential In himself? Imagine if we did not reach to explore the
untapped potentials made?
So,
here is the drill, zero is just an indicator of how powerful you are; your job
is to show it, bring it to the fore. Like I said, when next you see a zero on
that score sheet, or life gives you some sort of fail, just know it is saying
to you “you have so much in you but we cannot see it”.
Reach,
explore, create, maintain—zero has a value, and so do you!
